The Complete 2026 Philippine Salary & Tax Guide
Understanding your net pay in 2026 requires a clear look at the final implementation of the TRAIN Law and the updated contribution brackets for SSS and PhilHealth.
1. 2026 BIR Tax Schedule
If your annual taxable income is below ₱250,000, you remain tax-exempt. For those above, here is the simplified 2026 bracket:
| Taxable Income | Tax Rate |
|---|---|
| ₱250k - ₱400k | 15% of excess over ₱250k |
| ₱400k - ₱800k | ₱22,500 + 20% of excess over ₱400k |
2. SSS Contribution (15% Total)
The 2026 rate is now 15%. Most employees will see a 5% deduction on their payslip, while the employer contributes 10%. This includes the mandatory WISP2 savings for higher earners.
3. PhilHealth Premium (5%)
The premium remains at 5% for 2026, helping fund the Universal Health Care system. The monthly ceiling is now ₱100,000.
